Privacy
What Mona stores about you and your animals, why, and how to get it back or have it deleted.
What is collected
When you request a session, Mona collects your name, email address, WhatsApp number, and whatever you choose to tell her about your animal or your space — including photographs.
After a session, the communication is stored for a limited period of time so that you can return to it later.
Why it is kept
Session records are kept so that you can revisit what your animal said, and so that Mona has context when you come back for another session. Over time this becomes a record of your relationship with your animal.
Records are not used for any purpose and are never sold or shared with anyone else.
Health information
Animals sometimes convey health-related information. Mona records what is conveyed, but she is not qualified to interpret it medically and will always refer you to a vet. Nothing recorded here is a medical record.
Confidentiality
Mona works to the Code of Ethics for Interspecies Telepathic Communicators, which requires respecting the privacy of the people and animals she works with and honouring their desire for confidentiality.
Anonymised material is only ever used in writing or teaching with your explicit permission, asked for separately.
Being told when Mona writes
If you ask to be told when Mona publishes something, your email address is used for the sole purpose of sharing that. It is not used for anything to do with a session, it is never sold or shared, and nobody else sees the list.
Nothing is stored when you type your email address in. A link is sent to it, and the email address is only added when you press that link — so somebody else cannot put you on the list, and if you did not ask, doing nothing is enough.
Every email has a link at the bottom to stop. Pressing it takes you off immediately. If you would rather the address were deleted altogether rather than simply unsubscribed, ask and it will be.
Videos and posts from other websites
Mona's writing sometimes includes something published elsewhere — a video, a piece of music, or a post from a social network. Those are shown by the website they came from, not by this one. So when you scroll down far enough to reach one, your browser asks that company for it, and that request tells them your address on the internet and which article you are reading, in the same way that opening their site directly would.
Nothing is asked for until you reach it. An article you do not scroll to the end of costs you nothing, and a page with no embedded post on it contacts nobody at all.
For most of them — YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud and Bluesky — that is the whole of it: a self-contained window on the page, with none of their code running on this site. YouTube is used through its no-cookies address, which means Google does not store its usual advertising cookies on your device unless you actually press play.
Posts from X, Instagram and TikTok are different. Those three can only be shown by running a small piece of their own software on this page, which is capable of seeing more than the others do. It is loaded only if you scroll to the post, and never otherwise. There is no way to show one of their posts without it — the alternative would be to show a link instead.
Mona does not see any of this and receives nothing from any of them. If you would rather it did not happen at all, any browser extension that blocks content from other websites will stop it, and you will see a short description of the post and a link to it instead. The rest of the article is unaffected.
Your control
You can ask for a copy of everything held about you and your animals at any time, and you can ask for it to be deleted. Write to Mona and she will do it.
Deleting a record is permanent — communications and other information cannot be recovered afterwards.
Questions about any of this, or want to see or delete what Mona holds about you? Send Mona a message and she will answer personally.
