Animal Communication: Unique ways in which Animals “Talk”

How animals actually convey what they have to say

Animal communication is a deeply personal experience and just the way two animals are not the same, neither are two communicators, nor their communication styles. How an animal communicates with me is quite different from the way in which they communicate with my communicator friends- we regularly compare notes and are amazed by it! The common denominator is that the animal speaks in a language the communicator best understands. So here are a few unique ways animals adopt in my communications:

  1. Feelings and Sensations- Given my effort to be grounded and present, animals make me feel what their physical body is going through. For instance, in cases of separation/missing animals, to indicate how they are operating in an unknown environment, animals make me sense a state of absolute focus, on high alert, acutely aware of the environment and how their senses feel. Animals also share their physical condition via my body where I feel pain, thirst, soreness in specific parts. And usually, all these are combined: Angel, a female cat, while describing her discomfort, made me experience mild nausea, thirst and heat in the stomach.

Caveat- Description of health is as the animal communicates, it is not medical advice. When concerned about the health of your animal, consult a medical expert/vet.

  1. Tarot Cards- Given the immense lessons Tarot holds and my love for the cards, animals often show me a card to convey their message. It could be a lesson for their human, for instance by showing The Hangman they ask their human to just be and not wrestle with what’s before them. They also show me how they feel: a cat Salmon showed me Wands cards to convey that he was sensing the energy of change, physical movement and not feeling grounded. His human confirmed that he was contemplating travel and home renovations, both of which would impact Salmon’s sense of safety, groundedness and bring in lots of movement within the house.

  1. Life events- Who knows my life and experiences better than me? In terms of “language”, I am the most fluent speaker! So, animals often take me to specific learnings in my life, make me experience those emotions again and ask that I share those lessons with their humans.  To them, it is logical since I know how hard some lessons felt and I can authentically and compassionately convey that to someone going through a similar struggle. Often animals want me to share the journey and the impact of those lessons: how problematic patterns ended or how people/opportunities arrived, as an example of what may lie on the other side.
